Visual Inspection
Visual Inspection (VT) is a technique that is typically the first step of the examination process. This method involves the visual observation of the surface of a test object to evaluate the presence of surface discontinuities.
Liquid Penetrant Inspection
Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI or PT) is used to find surface breaking defects. LPI is a valuable tool for evaluating non-ferromagnetic and non-metallic materials for the detection of flaws. It is one of the most portable surface inspection methods.
Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements
Ultrasonic Thickness measurements (UTM) can be used to detect metal reduction caused by fatigue, corrosion or erosion which is necessary to keep vessels or pipelines safe, compliant and profitable. The information this inspection provides is useful for maintenance and repairs.
Magnetic Particle Inspection
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI or MT) is a sensitive non-destructive testing method used for the detection of surface and near surface flaws such as cracks and other discontinuities of ferromagnetic materials.
Ultrasonic Inspection
Ultrasonic Inspection (UT) is a non-destructive test method that uses high frequency sound waves to detect cracks and defects in parts and materials. It can also be used to determine a material's thickness, such as measuring the wall thickness of a plate or pipe.
Marine Hull UTM Inspections
Thickness measurements for class renewal & intermediate surveys. We are working with Bureau Veritas and DNV-GL to obtain our class approval. If you would like us to do your non-class required NDT while we are going through this process.
